What information will be provided for us with the test? And what material do we have to memorize?

where is the review located on the site??

First, you will receive the standard periodic table, the periodic table of ions, and a list of polyatomic ions.

Second, you will need to know how to use the periodic tables.

You must be able to identify the elements families.

You must be able to find the number of protons, electrons, and neutrons using the periodic table.

You must be able to draw Bohr and Lewis dot diagrams. In addition, draw Bohr and Lewis Dot diagrams of ionic and covalent compounds.

You must be able to balance equations and identify the equation types.

This is a short list, but they are the essentials of the unit.

Finally, I have posted the review on the chemistry page of the website. Thanks for the reminder Benji, almost forgot.

on the review what do you mean when you say "Use the hypothetical periodic table to answer the following questions by matching the letter to the statement"? and is anything other than the topics covered on the review that will be on the test?

The review covers everything that will be on the test.

By hypothetical, I mean that it is not the actual periodic table and the letters in the periodic table are not the actual elements... the purpose of the question is to see whether you understand the organization of the periodic table with regards to the elements composition (i.e. # of protons, neutrons, and electrons). In other words can you draw a Lewis Dot or Bohr diagram based on the position of the letter or element in the periodic table.

can you please put the review answers up?
